Strada Icoanei 12, Bucharest

Built in 1784. Rebuilt after earthquakes in 1838, 1940, and 1977. Named for an icon donated by Wallachian prince Constantin Brâncoveanu. The walls have heard four centuries of vows — ours come next.

    Orthodox ceremony begins
